                              RESOLUTION NO. 21424
                
                
                 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE AWARD OF CONTRACT
                 NO. BL-1-97, BIRCHWOOD LANDFILL, CONSTRUCTION
                 OF PHASE I AND PHASE II LINER, TO HARDAWAY
                 CONSTRUCTION CORPORATION FOR THEIR LOW BID IN
                 THE AMOUNT OF TWO MILLION, FOUR HUNDRED
                 NINETY-TWO THOUSAND, SIX HUNDRED SIXTY AND
                 NO/100 DOLLARS ($2,492,660.00).
                
                
                                                    
                
                
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, that there be and is hereby authorized 
the
       award of Contract No. BL-1-97, Birchwood Landfill, Construction 
of
       Phase I and Phase II Liner, to Hardaway Construction Corporation
       for their low bid in the amount of $2,492,660.00.
